This policy explains how KLIPR (PTY) LTD ("Klipr", "we", "us") collects, uses, stores and protects personal information when you use the Klipr sports replay service. We are committed to processing personal information lawfully under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 ("POPIA").

1. What personal information we collect

2. How and why we collect it

Cameras installed at a participating venue continuously record a short rolling buffer. Footage is only saved as a clip when someone presses the courtside button. We process this information in order to:

Important — clips are public. When the courtside button is pressed, the resulting clip is published to that venue's gallery page on klipr.live and can be viewed, downloaded and shared by anyone who visits that page, without a login or password. If you do not want a moment to be publicly viewable, do not press the button. Every clip is automatically deleted after 14 days, and you can ask us to remove a specific clip sooner (see "Your rights" below).

Our lawful basis is a combination of consent (for example, by playing on a court that displays Klipr signage, or by choosing to share a clip) and the legitimate interests of players and venues in capturing and sharing sporting highlights. The venue is responsible for ensuring it has a lawful basis to capture and share footage of its members and guests, and for displaying appropriate notices.

3. Who we share it with

Clips are made publicly available. Each saved clip appears on the relevant venue's gallery page on klipr.live and is accessible to any member of the public who visits that page during the 14-day retention period — no account is required to view, download or share it.

We do not sell your personal information. Aside from the public gallery above, we share it only with trusted service providers ("operators") who process it on our behalf under contract:

When you choose to share a clip (for example via WhatsApp or social media), it is sent to the recipients and platforms you select.

4. Cross-border transfers

Our operators may store or process information on servers located outside South Africa. Where this happens, we rely on operators that are bound by contractual data-protection commitments providing a comparable level of protection, as permitted by section 72 of POPIA.

5. How long we keep it

Clips are retained for 14 (fourteen) days and are then automatically deleted, unless we are required to keep specific information longer by law. Booking-related information is kept only as long as needed to provide the service.

6. How we protect it

7. Your rights
